ELDP drop-in sessions

The Endangered Languages Documentation Programme (ELDP) opened its 2022 grant round in July. For those interested in applying, ELDP is offering several drop-in sessions before the application deadline on 15 October 2021.

The application system for ELDP grants opened on the 15th of July 2021, and is accessible through the ELDP website.

ELDP provides grants for language documentation projects creating audio-visual recordings with transcriptions, translations, and annotation of endangered languages. ELDP provides four different types of grants for documentation projects (Small Grants, Individual Graduate Scholarships, Individual Postdoctoral Fellowships, and Major Documentation Projects) and one grant type for the digitisation of analogue legacy materials like for example  recordings of endangered languages in private holdings of retired colleagues (Legacy Material Grants).
Applicants are asked to carefully review the guidance materials for the different grant types. In addition to the ELDP guidance notes, this ELAR blog post contains a number of helpful resources to prepare a language documentation project.

The first drop-in session will take place on Monday 23 August 2021 from 2-3 pm CEST via Zoom.

Participants are encouraged to read through the guidance materials on eldp.net in advance.

Further drop-in sessions will be announced on the ELDP website, the ELAR blog and ELAR’s social media channels.
